Is there an Ebola vaccine?
Short answer
Yes, against the Zaire strain: Ervebo (since 2019) is over 97% effective. There is no approved vaccine yet for the Sudan or Bundibugyo strains.

Ervebo is used through ring vaccination: contacts of patients and their contacts are vaccinated. Zabdeno/Mvabea is a two-dose vaccine for preventive use.
Candidate vaccines for the Sudan strain were trialled during outbreaks in Uganda but are not yet approved. Travellers are normally not vaccinated.
