Is it safe to travel to Africa during Ebola outbreaks?
Short answer
For almost all travellers, yes. Outbreaks are local; only travel to the affected area itself is discouraged. Always check your government's travel advice.

Avoid contact with sick people, body fluids, wild animals (bushmeat) and funerals in the outbreak area.
If you develop a fever within 21 days of returning, call your doctor first and mention your travel. Do not walk into a clinic unannounced.
